Clients usually ask “where do I start” and “what comes next if they do not pay”. Recovery is not a single gesture: it is a chain. Not every file climbs every step. This page describes the usual order, so you know where you stand and which page on the site is worth opening now.
Start with the papers: who owes, how much, on what basis, what evidence you have, what has already been communicated. Without that reading, a demand letter and court are guesswork. Review at Collect.md does not cost an upfront fee on the recovery model. We say what can be substantiated, what is missing and from which step we continue — including if the file is already notified, in court or with a title.
Contact, notice, follow-up of the reply, negotiation, sometimes instalments. It is the shortest path when the debtor still answers. It does not mean home visits and it does not mean psychological pressure. If you want us to run the follow-up, that is amicable recovery.
The formal written request: amount, basis, deadline. It remains an act of the creditor, not a judgment and not an enforcement title. It may close the file by payment or prepare the court path. You can draft it yourself (including with the generator on the site) or we can prepare it on the file.
When silence, refusal or a broken plan justifies a judicial step. Representation is through an attorney. Court fees and procedural costs are discussed on the file — they are not the recovery commission and we do not publish them as an unverified table. Some undisputed claims may use a shorter procedure (payment order); we do not treat it here as a guaranteed shortcut.
After an enforceable title. The acts are carried out by the judicial officer. We prepare and follow the creditor’s file. Without a title, account garnishment remains the wrong expectation.
The chain above is the same in logic. Evidence, legal limits and practical chance differ. B2B claims have their own page; claims against individuals (a loan, rent, an invoice to a private person) have another, so expectations are not mixed.
Send the contract, the invoices and what has already been communicated. We will say the right step now — amicable, demand, court or enforcement — without asking you to start from scratch.
Request a file reviewNo. Many files close amicably. Others already have a title and start at enforcement. The review says where you continue from, not an automatic calendar.
It depends on the debtor’s response, the evidence and on the court or officer if you get that far. We do not display a single range as a legal deadline. After review we say what is realistic on your file.
Yes. We take files at notice stage, after a demand, in court or with a title — after checking the papers.
We reply within 2 working hours. No upfront fee.
